Born and raised in Robstown, Texas, Jerry Guerra graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, in 1985. He was commissioned in the United States Army as a 2nd.
A Lieutenant in 1985, Mr Guerra served for five years and was honorably discharged in 1990 with the rank of Captain.

After working hard, Jerry returned to South Texas to attend law school. He graduated from St. Petersburg University Law School. Mary in December 1993. After working with four different personal injury law firms, Jerry opened a private practice on January 1, 1998 (as the Law Offices of Jerry Guerra, PC), before joining Wigington Rumley Dunn & Blair LLP .
Jerry Guerra has tried numerous cases in personal injury, family law, business litigation and criminal defense. He also appealed to the 4th and 13th Circuit Courts of Appeals for the state of Texas. In addition to his District Court practice, Jerry has tried cases in the United States District Court for the District of South Texas.
Mr. Guerra has served as a consultant for the Robstown Utilities System since February 2007 and is currently the District Attorney for the Nueces County #2 Drainage District.
He has been married to Jodi Guerra for 18 years and is the proud father of Jenna and Jerry.
